Last onigiri for now

Today I was thinking of doing a puppy but did not wish to put the work into it. So I folded some ham to become the ears. The onigiri face is stuffed with red bean paste today. It was a HUGE hit. The eyes are peas and mouth is processed cheese triangle colored with food markers. Carrots and blackberries finish the lunch.

Oni, oni, giri, giri. onigiri

This onigiri is filled with pork, carrots, and spinach. Sounds odd, but the minions loved it. I have 2 green peas for eyes, carrot nose, and colored processed cheese for a mouth. Also there are carrots, blackberries, the mystery fruit, and strawberry mini wheat for lunch.

I love lazy lunches

Clark is not doing so well today and is having another bad day. A repair man is coming around lunch time, so I just made something super simple.

Rolled ham slices, processed cheese cut into triangles, pretzel circles, the small round fruit again, strawberry, and 2 mint chocolate marshmallows for desert.

Coming back to Onigiri

I am sorry for my absence. I have some mild postpartum depression and it just kills my motivation to do anything. I make the lunches for the minions and I just feel no motivation to take a picture or even blog about it. So I am back and starting it off easy. Some pretty simple lunches that should take not much effort to post.

I have been working with the minions on eating rice. I know sandwiches are great and all, but I really like rice balls.

In this lunch we have a large strawberry, some sort of small yellow pitted fruit (I forgot what it was), 2 slices of ham, baby carrots and a rice ball filled with tuna salad.

Mama bento #5 Sushi train

How do you like my new bento? I found the police car on Ebay. I have to admit it was smaller than I thought it was going to be. Still, it is pretty cute.

Can you tell it's a train? Look closely. The sushi is filled with tuna, carrot, cucumber, and avocado. I have baby carrots on the bottom and mini portabella mushrooms. In the small top compartment I have cut up carrots, cucumber, and grape tomatoes. I have just a little bit of Italian dressing on it.
