Puzzle

The Colonel and Pork waving to Clark's bus.

I have a puzzle cut peanut butter and jelly sandwich, celery, 1/3 of a pear, and stick of string cheese.

Colonel Sanders got the same thing. The only difference is her celery is cut thinner. Plus she got a little extra cheese. While I took Clark out to the bus, she got into Tykes lunch and ate most of his cheese. So I replaced it and gave her the little nub she left for him.

"eese!"

Tyke took one look at the lid and told me this was the best lunch ever. 

Pork put the puzzle together before he ate it.

Hi

 Today we had a 2 hour delay. Because of this, Clark's bus picked him up at 12:10pm instead of 11:30am. See, normally the bus leaves the school with the AM students and picks up the PM students while she drops the AM students off. We are very close to the school, so Clark is the first on. Since there were no AM students today, Clark was picked up last. Needless to say the change did not go over well with Clark.

Due to the change, I also made Clark a lunch. Clark's group eats at school (family style) and Tyke's does not.

We have mandarin oranges, popcorn, a peanut butter roll up, blueberries, and cheese cubes that spell out "Hi".

The Colonel has a similar lunch. She has popcorn (picked apart so no pieces will get stuck in her teeth/choke her), mandarin oranges, blueberries, peanut butter roll up, and cheese.

Easy lunch and our silly fish

Lunch today is a peanut butter tortilla, homemade granola, cheese squares, carrot coins, watermelon, pineapple, and melon.

Oh look! The Colonel is learning to drink from a big girl cup! My grandmother (who lives in Montana) had 2 of these small cups come in a camping kit she purchased. She had no clue why anyone would want a coffee cup that small, especially when camping. So she sent it to my mother for the minions.

Here is Colonel Sanders lunch. I steamed the carrots a little so that they had a little crunch left in them, yet they were a little soft for The Colonel. I also gave her watermelon and pineapple. To the right I have peanut butter tortilla wrap slices, cheese, and homemade granola (large nuts taken out).

 Pork looks happy. Where is Tyke? I wondered that too. I went out to the living room and there he was sitting with Aunt Julie. *sighs* Sorry Tyke, it's lunch time, not Kindle time.

This is our goldfish. Well 2 of them. The black one floats like that quite often. We have had him for several months now. Not quite sure what to make of it.

This is what greeted me when I got back to the dining room. Silly Colonel!

Freezer Leftovers Bento

I amaze myself with the food I keep. I was looking through the fridge freezer and found quite a few bags with only a few of the item in them. Not enough for a meal for even one person, but I thought if I added them together there would be something.

The small amounts of veggies were made into baby food for The Colonel. The boys had some of the more interesting stuff (things that taste good cold) for lunch plus some. I had a bag with 3 of the dinosaur chicken nuggets, a bag with 5 cheese sticks, and a handful of those stuffed cheese bread bits among the rest.

So on the left side we have a chicken nugget dinosaur sitting on top of a cheese stick. Under that are 3 mozzarella stuffed bites. Also we have 3 peanut butter and jelly music notes.

To the right are 3 celery pieces with peanut butter, grapes, strawberries, and ham spread with tomato basil Laughing Cow cheese and rolled up.

S is for Soccer

Clark is in spring soccer! I was in a rush to make a dinner on the go. I really need to plan ahead better. Soccer practice is right at our dinner time.  I hate to feed the minions to early because it will throw them off. Then it makes it hard to get them to bed on time.

Anyway, yes, the soccer ball looks odd. Then again, his soccer ball they were given last year looks odd. It is orange with some odd lines on it. Not the typical soccer ball. Good thing for me Clark knew exactly what it was.

Under the processed cheese soccer ball there is a peanut butter sandwich. To the right of that are 9 animal cracker pieces, 9 squares of cheese, and 9 squares of turkey. The number 9 was cut out of bread and colored with food safe markers.

The bottom tier is yet another peanut butter sandwich under the cheese, grape tomatoes, and mango pieces.

F is for Fish

F is for Fish... and maybe Fast cars. But that may be a bit of a stretch for little ones. No school for Clark today. And as you can see, the minions all had their hair cut. Ok, Colonel Sanders didn't, but the rest did.

Clark is not use to bento lunches every day.
So he is extra excited over his.

Today we have our Fast cars. These seem to be a pretty big hit around here. Normally I use grapes for the tires. Today we have cheese (string cheese) rounds that were colored with food safe markers. I used peanut butter to glue them on. I also chose to put windshields in this time. Those were cut from processed cheese. I used raisins for the dirt track. Also we have celery sticks and goldfish crackers.

Next to that we have a Goldfish peanut butter and strawberry cream cheese sandwich. On top of that is a cheese angel fish (which I was to lazy to color in) and the letter F. On top of that are 4 green olives. Also we have some Danables crunchers yogurt for desert. Yep, I said desert. I have the minions convinced that yogurt is just like pudding or ice cream.

T is for Turtle

I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to make and bake a bread turtle. It turned out a little to crusty for something it's size. So I put it in a plastic bag while still warm and this morning it is much softer. Also, as you can see, my poor turtle looks more like a ladybug. Oh well, maybe I will do better next time.

Today's lunch is a peanut butter and jelly turtle. The "shell" is made from bologna, nori and had a "T" on it's back. The eyes are raisins. It sits on a bed of left over yellow rice. With that there are grape tomatoes, carrots, raisins, and part of a plumb.

This box is a Dora (I have a matching Spiderman too) "lunch pack" that I found at Walmart. There is a smaller box that comes with it.

 

C is for Cat

Today's lunch has kiwi, blueberries, berry yogurt, carrots, and a kitty face peanut butter and jelly sandwich with raisin eyes, grape nose, and carrot whiskers.
