Even better!

I am getting even better at this! I have gone from hating these trays to loving them!

I have ham, cheese, pistachio desert thing, organic crackers, and a cutie orange.

On top of that I places a yogurt tube and a juice drink. I needed to move a few of the crackers, but nothing is moving!

Chips and Salsa take 2.

Still not making very cute lunches. I have been pretty tempted to just send the minions to school with lunch money. I actually tried to yesterday. Both refused and directed me to make them the "lunchable" lunch. I love my minions.

The chips and salsa was a HUGE hit and it was requested again. I am to tired to argue. This time I have organic blue chips, corn and black bean salsa, chicken breast pieces, shredded cheese, and a snickers for desert.

I added cheese this time. I felt so bad about not having any dairy last time. After I packed this, I realized there wasn't any fruit or vegetable (I am not counting the salsa today). So I added a baby banana and called it good.

Cracker lunch

I know this looks like next to no food, but there is more here than there is in a standard Lunchable. I really hate it when the teacher sends home leftovers on snack day. Yesterday was our day and Tyke chose Angry Birds crackers. I asked the teacher to keep any leftover boxes as part of their stash for when parents forget. She must have to many right now.

Anyway, I wanted to use it up. So we have a blood orange (looks bad in the picture), a stack of cheese, Angry Birds crackers, and turkey. There is a small snickers bar for desert.

Lunch Punches came!

Please forgive me. I know my pictures are not the greatest. My camera died in the spring so I get my have been using my phone. Sometimes I cannot get my computer to flip the pictures and I fail at any photo editing.

Once again, this lunch was made in under 15 minutes. Mainly because The Elder has leftovers as part of his lunch and I make the sandwiches while the meat for The Elder cooks. I think this lunch was about 13 minutes. Yes, I am out of practice. I am sure as the year goes on I will get faster.

*Not pictured was a mini candy bar in each of the minion lunches that separates the cucumber and the sandwich.

Lunch Punches came!!! So I opted to try them out.

Tyke has a car sandwich with a cheese road, tires, and windshield. Sadly I only had cheddar cheese. I need to keep some mozzarella cheese in the fridge. He also has some cucumber slices, a mini chocolate bar (not pictured) and canned mandarin oranges and pineapple per request.

Clark loves trains. I wish I could find my organic powder food coloring. I could have some quick and lazy fun with it. Clark has a sandwich with cheese window, that piece that moves the wheels (I am so technical), and lazy person train track. Sides are the same as Tyke.

Before I go on to The Elder, today's containers only cost me $3 for the minions. In the Target dollar bin I picked up 2 sandwich boxes for $1 each and the monster containers came 2 for $1.

I have given up trying to make this picture flip. The Elder was given frozen green beans, leftover cheese potatoes, and medium rare steak with mushrooms and onions. I cooked the steak medium rare because by the time he warms it up, it will be medium. Just the way he likes it.

First trial for the new school year

I decided that I needed to work out the morning routine for school days before school actually started. School starts one week from tomorrow, September 3rd. To hear more about our first trial run, go HERE.

Needless to day lunch did not go very well. I used my FunBites cutter to cut up the sandwich (ham and cheese). The apple rabbit did not turn out to well. The little odd colored things with the sandwich are some organic fruit strips and we have carrots and cucumbers for a vegetable. The yellow in back is a slice of cheese to add some color.

Ham, pickle, and cream cheese

The Elder and Julie had cold lunches today. In the Easy Lunchbox we have Monkey Bread, carrot sticks, celery sticks and ham, pickle, green onion, and cream cheese rolls.

Tyke and Pork have almost the same thing. I did not add green onion to their ham rolls. Also they have a cheese stick and some organic peanut butter to dip their carrot and celery sticks in. I added a little cheese rocket.

I have to admit that Colonel Sanders' lunch looks nicer than her brothers. She has the same thing only I steamed the carrots and celery just a little bit so that they were not to hard, but still firm. I also cut her ham rolls into smaller pieces.

Easy Lunchboxes can be purchased through www.easylunchboxes.com

The boxes the minions used today were found at Target (I bought them 3 days ago) and were in the area where they have the kids plates and cups. They were on the same shelf all the way at the bottom and costed $4.99.

Sausage worm

I have a little worm made out of organic nitrate free hot dog slices sitting on a bed of cheese. Under it I have nitrate free turkey. On the top I have strawberries, an organic cereal, and carrot slices. The face was made with nori.

This is the Colonel's lunch. She too has a hot dog worm, turkey, cheese sliced into little pieces, strawberries, and some organic and GMO free cereal.

Fun boxes today.

I decided we wanted to use some fun bento boxes today. Sadly they are all hidden on that shelf. I need to reorganize them and maybe put them on 2 shelves so that I can see them.

The colonel has a baguette peanut butter and jelly sandwich, blueberries, orange slice, strawberries, cheese and a cookie left over from making mini cheesecakes.

The boys had cheese, orange slices, blueberries, a cookie, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on a baguette.

Hi

Today we had a 2 hour delay. Because of this, Clark's bus picked him up at 12:10pm instead of 11:30am. See, normally the bus leaves the school with the AM students and picks up the PM students while she drops the AM students off. We are very close to the school, so Clark is the first on. Since there were no AM students today, Clark was picked up last. Needless to say the change did not go over well with Clark.

Due to the change, I also made Clark a lunch. Clark's group eats at school (family style) and Tyke's does not.

We have mandarin oranges, popcorn, a peanut butter roll up, blueberries, and cheese cubes that spell out "Hi".

The Colonel has a similar lunch. She has popcorn (picked apart so no pieces will get stuck in her teeth/choke her), mandarin oranges, blueberries, peanut butter roll up, and cheese.

Easy lunch and our silly fish

Lunch today is a peanut butter tortilla, homemade granola, cheese squares, carrot coins, watermelon, pineapple, and melon.

Oh look! The Colonel is learning to drink from a big girl cup! My grandmother (who lives in Montana) had 2 of these small cups come in a camping kit she purchased. She had no clue why anyone would want a coffee cup that small, especially when camping. So she sent it to my mother for the minions.

Here is Colonel Sanders lunch. I steamed the carrots a little so that they had a little crunch left in them, yet they were a little soft for The Colonel. I also gave her watermelon and pineapple. To the right I have peanut butter tortilla wrap slices, cheese, and homemade granola (large nuts taken out).

Pork looks happy. Where is Tyke? I wondered that too. I went out to the living room and there he was sitting with Aunt Julie. *sighs* Sorry Tyke, it's lunch time, not Kindle time.

This is our goldfish. Well 2 of them. The black one floats like that quite often. We have had him for several months now. Not quite sure what to make of it.

This is what greeted me when I got back to the dining room. Silly Colonel!

Banana bread muffin sandwich

Colonel Sanders' lunch. She has a muffin top cut in half and made into a biscoff and jelly sandwich, some pickled bologna, cheese scraps, blue berries, and strawberries. The little cheese figure is suppose to be a frog. The Colonel is now 15 months old.

Look! Clark is home today (No school on Friday). The Colonel is checking out Clark's lunch. Pork Chop is happily playing with his cheese cut out (rocket).

Here is the boys' lunch. Another half of a homemade banana muffin cut in half and made into a biscoff and jelly sandwich. Pickled bologna, cheese, blueberries, strawberries, and some pineapple. Their cut out is a little rocket.

Clark and Tyke smiling over lunch. I hope they have enough energy to help me with laundry after lunch!

Leftover Chicken nuggets

Lunch for The Colonel. We have leftover homemade chicken nuggets (sliced for her), granola with extra dried cranberries (minus the larger nuts), peanut butter tortilla wraps, and triangle cheese slices.

Pork and Tyke (even though they are still a bit ill) also had leftover chicken nuggets, granola with extra cranberries, peanut butter tortilla wraps, triangle cheese slices, and celery sticks.

These chicken nuggets taste really good cold. They really do.

Spaghetti Leftovers!

I love leftover lunches. They make my life so much easier. Today's lunch is a leftover from Monday nights dinner. I have Barilla spaghetti (I like it better than most) the meatballs have hidden blended carrots, a little spinach, and cheese. I also use a little oatmeal in it too. I know you can't tell and no one (even The Elder) has noticed it yet. :-D Score!

This is Colonel Sanders' lunch. We have cheese, multi colored raisins with sunflower seeds, spaghetti, and a meatball in our Easy Lunchboxes.

No school today lunch

There is no school today! We had a friend over for lunch. The boys wanted tortillas in their lunches today. I made ham tortilla roll ups, blood orange slices, dehydrated apple, cheese, and multicolored raisins.

Our friend loves Hello Kitty. So I made her Hello Kitty peanut butter sandwiches, blood oranges, dehydrated apples, cheese (she said she does not like it, but she ate some anyway), and multicolored raisins.

Here is Colonel Sanders' lunch. She had a lunch similar to her brothers. Tortilla and ham rollups, dehydrated apple (I picked the thinner pieces), cheese, and raisins.

Rocket ships, UFO's and Hello Kitty

I decided to use my little ham & cheese cutters for lunch today. I used my UFO, Rocket Ship, and Tree cutters for the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  For the sides I have cheese, a single prune (I wanted them to try it) and some dehydrated strawberries, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds.

The Colonel has a similar lunch. She has Hello Kitty sandwiches and baby trees. I also gave her some cheese pieces, a cut up prune, dehydrates strawberries, and some sunflower seeds.

Both lunches were put in my Easy Lunchboxes

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Today's lunch is homemade banana yogurt, a fruit salad, a homemade banana muffin (no sugar), and chicken and apple sausage.

This is Colonel Sanders' lunch. I sliced her sausage a little thinner, she also has thin sliced cheese (the way she prefers it), some sliced fruit, and a banana muffin sliced.

Strawberry critters

Today's lunch consists of watermelon, blood oranges, and celery. I made odd little critters using  strawberries, candy eyes, and slivered almonds.  I also have little cheese birds and a banana muffin made into peanut butter sandwiches.

The Colonel has her own lunch. She has everything her brothers had except I did not give her any candy eyes. I was afraid she would choke on them since they are quite hard.

Pork and Clark are eating. Tyke was having a really bad acid reflux day. He just was not to interested in eating anything.

Colonel Sanders checking out her meal.

Anpanman Onigiri

I decided to make the minions some onigiri. The rice was made with homemade turkey broth. I wanted to make it fun so I took out my egg molds and use those to make the shapes. I use my Anpanman and star molds. Inside of them I have some chicken and veggies. To create the face I used ketchup and nori.  I also included various sliced fruit, piece of banana, cheese, and homemade chicken nuggets.

Here is Colonel Sanders lunch. Her chicken nuggets are much smaller than her brothers.

Sadly no one but The Colonel had any interest in the onigiri.

Homemade chicken nuggets and apple cars

First things first, I forgot to take a picture of  The Colonel's lunch. I am sorry. It was very similar to the other lunches only toddler friendly.

Today for lunch we have apple cars with blueberry wheels. I used a dab of sunbutter to keep the wheels attached. I also have 2 pieces of chocolate and some cheese. In the top tier (bottom) I have celery with sunbutter and homemade chicken nuggets.

Big boy Tyke eating his chocolate first. Funny tidbit: All 3 boys have that orange shirt he is wearing. I dressed both Clark and Tyke in it today. Luckily they are at an age where they do not care. I think it is cute when they are all matching.

The Colonel is still in her pjs. I am kinda lazy. Her toes get cold on our wood floors, yet she refuses to keep her socks on. So I sometimes just put her into another set of pjs when she wakes up. Clean clothes daily, just pjs instead of day wear.

My Pork Chop is growing up!!!! Look at him and then go back to one of the much older posts. He is thinning out. He is not so much a pork anymore.
