Doggy bag leftovers

Ok, only 2 of these items are from our doggy bag. None the less, we used leftovers today. Last night we went out and I ordered the minions all grilled cheese sandwiches, fries, and grapes for dinner. Colonel Sanders turned her nose up at the grapes and ended up going after The Elder's baked apples. So I had some spare grapes!

Left over grilled cheese, ham on frog picks, leftover grapes, a Halloween kit kat bar (yes, it is STILL good!), and some sour applesauce in a squeeze container.

First lunches of November

Colonel Sanders has a single cookie, string cheese, pb&j cut with our FunBites cutter , raspberries, leftover pork, and grapes.

Tyke has an airplane sandwich, cheese stick, raspberries, fruit strips, a cookie, and grapes.

Ahh yes, Clark. Clark is obsessed with World of Goo. To bad mama is lazy. Good news is, he knew what I lazily made for him. I have a "World of Goo" sandwich made with fruit strips and grapes cut in half.

The Elder was special enough to receive leftovers again. Fried pork (no, not my child), baked potatoes with butter, sour cream (separate container), and cheese. I also have green beans (frozen at this point still) and several cookies for his enjoyment.

Egg salad sandwich

I apologize for the picture. I cannot figure out what happened to my memory card, so I have been using my phone to take pictures.

For lunch we have pasta salad (tri colored pasta, tomatoes, cucumber, and greek dressing), baby dill pickles, and an egg salad sandwich. I made this the night before, so I toasted the bread. The stamp says "Good Morning". I know it is not morning, but it was that or the "princess" one. I am not thinking they would enjoy that.

Corned beef hash and green beans

I was bored and wanted to see if I could shape corned beef hash. I tried packing an egg mold super tight and it did not work. Next I tried packing it into a cookie cutter. The first one came out pretty well but the second, not so much.

Lunch was corned beef hash, green beans, and I did add a cookie for desert later.

Smile sandwich

Lunch in our awesome Easy Lunchboxes today!

I have some homemade coleslaw, strawberry applesauce, and a toasted turkey sandwich. I used a toast stamp that I found at The Dollar Tree for the design on the toast. I also added a pickle for the minions who like those.

The minions have really been interested in toast recently. They request it for almost every meal and snack. So I figured I would incorporate it into lunch for them.

Meijer Gardens trip #1

If you would like to see our whole trip to Meijer Gardens, please click Here

My lunch. Homemade shrimp, garlic, and spinach onigiri, red peppers, melon, and pineapple.

The boys had 3 butterfly sandwiches, organic chocolate cereal, celery and red peppers with dip, a leftover meatball, cheese, kiwi, and pineapple.

The only difference in The Colonel's lunch is that the celery is cut very thin and the meatball is cut up.

I had 5 of these to pack. So I put them in the bottom of my backpack. I loved how the Easy Lunchboxes fit in the bottom.

All 5 loaded up with room for drinks still.

Pork and his lunch.

Clark asking his father for some oranges.

Pork eating again.

Me eating my onigiri and The Colonel having some celery.

Tyke and Oma at lunch.

Every time I make onigiri I think of this song. I was introduced to this anime by Karl.

Ham, pickle, and cream cheese

The Elder and Julie had cold lunches today. In the Easy Lunchbox we have Monkey Bread, carrot sticks, celery sticks and ham, pickle, green onion, and cream cheese rolls.

Tyke and Pork have almost the same thing. I did not add green onion to their ham rolls. Also they have a cheese stick and some organic peanut butter to dip their carrot and celery sticks in. I added a little cheese rocket.

I have to admit that Colonel Sanders' lunch looks nicer than her brothers. She has the same thing only I steamed the carrots and celery just a little bit so that they were not to hard, but still firm. I also cut her ham rolls into smaller pieces.

Easy Lunchboxes can be purchased through www.easylunchboxes.com

The boxes the minions used today were found at Target (I bought them 3 days ago) and were in the area where they have the kids plates and cups. They were on the same shelf all the way at the bottom and costed $4.99.

Pasta and an Octopus

I had some leftover sausage from making lunches for The Elder and Julie. They had already ate it 2 days this week so I figured I would give it to the minions for lunch. The top meal was what the boys had. The only difference between theirs and The Colonel's lunch was that her fruit was cut up smaller. She does just fine with sausage, so I had no left it whole.

Lunch in our Easy Lunchboxes today! We have carrot sticks (slightly steamed for Colonel Sanders), strawberries, grapes, cheese cubes, tri colored pasta, and a turkey sausage octopus with whole wheat spaghetti legs.

The Colonel Decided to eat the legs off first.

So did Pork. The octopus is always a huge hit around here!

Look at that! Clark ate the legs off too!

Tyke was not very happy with me. First I would not allow him to watch tv, then I made him take his acid meds, then I forced him to eat at the table. *gasps* I know, I am a mean mama.

Chicks!

Today's lunch has 3 little egg chicks. We recently hatched some eggs and the kids are all excited about the chicks. (check out the Our Life tab) Under the chicks I have string cheese and leftover chocolate chip pancakes. for fruit we have strawberries, pineapple, and grapes.

Here is The Colonel's lunch. She pretty much has the same thing except her strawberries and pineapple are cut thinner. I also steamed her carrot beaks on the chickens so they were a hair soft. Colonel Sanders did have a cheese stick. She managed to get onto the table and eat it while I was taking a picture of her brothers' lunch.

Tyke smiling for us

Grinning cause she got to the cheese stick before I could take a picture of it in her lunch.

"Look, Chicks!"

Fun boxes today.

I decided we wanted to use some fun bento boxes today. Sadly they are all hidden on that shelf. I need to reorganize them and maybe put them on 2 shelves so that I can see them.

The colonel has a baguette peanut butter and jelly sandwich, blueberries, orange slice, strawberries, cheese and a cookie left over from making mini cheesecakes.

The boys had cheese, orange slices, blueberries, a cookie, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on a baguette.

Ham and cheese

Today the minions have another roll up sandwich. This time it is made from ham and gouda cheese with a little bit of mayo. I also gave them strawberries and blueberries. For desert they have half of a mini cheese cake. I made the mini cheesecakes for The Elder to take to work on his birthday and I had extra.

The Colonel has strawberries, blueberries, roast beef sliced small, gouda cheese, some thin sliced baguette, and half of a mini cheesecake.

Hi

Today we had a 2 hour delay. Because of this, Clark's bus picked him up at 12:10pm instead of 11:30am. See, normally the bus leaves the school with the AM students and picks up the PM students while she drops the AM students off. We are very close to the school, so Clark is the first on. Since there were no AM students today, Clark was picked up last. Needless to say the change did not go over well with Clark.

Due to the change, I also made Clark a lunch. Clark's group eats at school (family style) and Tyke's does not.

We have mandarin oranges, popcorn, a peanut butter roll up, blueberries, and cheese cubes that spell out "Hi".

The Colonel has a similar lunch. She has popcorn (picked apart so no pieces will get stuck in her teeth/choke her), mandarin oranges, blueberries, peanut butter roll up, and cheese.

Easy lunch and our silly fish

Lunch today is a peanut butter tortilla, homemade granola, cheese squares, carrot coins, watermelon, pineapple, and melon.

Oh look! The Colonel is learning to drink from a big girl cup! My grandmother (who lives in Montana) had 2 of these small cups come in a camping kit she purchased. She had no clue why anyone would want a coffee cup that small, especially when camping. So she sent it to my mother for the minions.

Here is Colonel Sanders lunch. I steamed the carrots a little so that they had a little crunch left in them, yet they were a little soft for The Colonel. I also gave her watermelon and pineapple. To the right I have peanut butter tortilla wrap slices, cheese, and homemade granola (large nuts taken out).

Pork looks happy. Where is Tyke? I wondered that too. I went out to the living room and there he was sitting with Aunt Julie. *sighs* Sorry Tyke, it's lunch time, not Kindle time.

This is our goldfish. Well 2 of them. The black one floats like that quite often. We have had him for several months now. Not quite sure what to make of it.

This is what greeted me when I got back to the dining room. Silly Colonel!

Leftover Chicken nuggets

Lunch for The Colonel. We have leftover homemade chicken nuggets (sliced for her), granola with extra dried cranberries (minus the larger nuts), peanut butter tortilla wraps, and triangle cheese slices.

Pork and Tyke (even though they are still a bit ill) also had leftover chicken nuggets, granola with extra cranberries, peanut butter tortilla wraps, triangle cheese slices, and celery sticks.

These chicken nuggets taste really good cold. They really do.

Sourdough star sandwich

I decided I would make some sourdough bread. This gave me the chance to use my star bread pan. I think it turned out pretty well. I have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on sourdough bread, cottage cheese, strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries.

I made Colonel Sanders the same thing, only I made sure to cut her bread as thin as I could. I also have to admit that I regretted giving her cottage cheese and allowing her to feed herself.
