Doggy bag leftovers

Ok, only 2 of these items are from our doggy bag. None the less, we used leftovers today. Last night we went out and I ordered the minions all grilled cheese sandwiches, fries, and grapes for dinner. Colonel Sanders turned her nose up at the grapes and ended up going after The Elder's baked apples. So I had some spare grapes!

Left over grilled cheese, ham on frog picks, leftover grapes, a Halloween kit kat bar (yes, it is STILL good!), and some sour applesauce in a squeeze container.

Left over ham

I have "carrot coins", green cauliflower, crackers, homemade chocolate popcorn, and ham.  Clark helped me pick out what to put into their lunch today.

First lunches of November

Colonel Sanders has a single cookie, string cheese, pb&j cut with our FunBites cutter , raspberries, leftover pork, and grapes.

Tyke has an airplane sandwich, cheese stick, raspberries, fruit strips, a cookie, and grapes.

Ahh yes, Clark. Clark is obsessed with World of Goo. To bad mama is lazy. Good news is, he knew what I lazily made for him. I have a "World of Goo" sandwich made with fruit strips and grapes cut in half.

The Elder was special enough to receive leftovers again. Fried pork (no, not my child), baked potatoes with butter, sour cream (separate container), and cheese. I also have green beans (frozen at this point still) and several cookies for his enjoyment.

Halloween lunch

Not pictured: an apple
Today's lunch consists of skull left over pizza (2 of them), cheese stick ghosts (1 1/2 sticks), pretzels, organic fruit strips, a chocolate pumpkin, and an apple (not pictured). I used nori on the cheese to make faces and cheese cut outs for the skull.

I have to admit that most lunches have been quick cookie cutter/sandwich cutter lunches with little effort or time put into them. For the most part, I manage to make 2 kids lunches and an adult lunch in 5 minutes.

See Our Life for a recent update.

Dinosaurs and Angry Birds

The Elder shall be first. Poor man has leftovers from Wednesday. On a bed of fresh spinach he has 2 leftover cupcake lasagna. I added a little more crushed tomatoes and some cheese to the top. He also has a piece of pound cake and 2 little chocolate bars.

Clark requested Angry Birds this time. So I made him 2 large Angry Birds and a small one. All this sits on a bed of spinach. Yes, everyone has spinach today. Clark is the only one who is known to eat it raw. He likes to "eat leaves like dinosaurs". He also has a cheese stick. On top there is pineapple, carrots, and orange pepper.

Tyke wanted dinosaurs. He is actually why I added the spinach. I felt it went with the sandwiches. As always, he has the same side items as Clark. It just makes life easier. He is not a fan of carrots, but I still serve them. One day he may try them and like them.

leftover rice, and chicken

This lunch was made before but I do not see it posted. Peas and chocolate on the left side. On the right I have left over brown rice to which I added tomatoes and some diced spinach. On top of that I have some chicken sliced and seasoned with Chinese 5 spice. Mmm...

Stocking Lunch and Leftovers again

Tyke informed me that he did not wish to have his sandwich cut. So I left his sandwich whole and just cut out a meat stocking for him.

Lunch we have is dried cranberries, cheese and turkey, two bows made from cheese and a dried cranberry, and a sunbutter and jelly sandwich in the shape of a stocking. I used dried cranberries on the top.

Today I used a Mini Dipper in an Easy Lunchbox. The Elder is pretty much one handed. So he needed to easily be able to take out non microwave items easily before he warms his meal. I figured the Mini Dipper would work well. That and Julie is only given a 15 minute lunch (really), so getting her food warm fast is a must.

Once again we have some leftovers. The hash in the main compartment was made 2 days ago for dinner. It consists of potatoes, onions, garlic, sausage, and green peppers. To change it up a bit, I added some pan fried carrots to it. I know it sounds odd, but it really does taste good. Also I added some tomato flowers. To the left of that we have cut up fruit in a Mini Dipper and some chocolate I found in the freezer.

Oh look, 3 of the minions! Colonel Sanders decided she wished to stand up and eat at the table. I think she wants to be like her brothers.

Stuffed Manicotti and Chicken

Remember how I said we would have several lunches with that leftover chicken tenders? Well this is the last of it.  Like so many other times, we will start with the large compartment. You cannot see it very well, but under the chicken tenders and homemade tomato sauce, there are 2 homemade cheese and herb manicotti. I have small zucchini stars on top of the tomato sauce.

To the left we have a orange mini cheesecake. This time I remembered that it is hard for The Elder to get the wrapper off with his one hand. So I took that off ahead of time. Under that are green peas.

For the boys I decided to use my Sassy lunch box. There are chicken tenders and matchstick carrots on the left. I have zucchini stars decorating this lunch as well.

On the right I have some sliced zucchini. Under that I gave the boys 2 cheese and herb stuffed shells. I added a little cheddar to their shells since they really enjoy its sharp flavor. I also have a grape tomato on a food pick. I know it is a little out of place, but I am trying to get the minions to eat tomatoes. I told them it was a red grape.

Colonel Sanders also has her own bento. She has sliced red grapes, steamed matchstick carrots, steamed thin sliced zucchini slices, and a cheese stuffed shell. The jumbo shells are normally left a little firm so they will hold up to being stuffed and baked. I made sure to cook her shell for just a little longer so that it was soft.

leftovers

I need to learn to post things right away. Otherwise I forget what we ate. Isn't that sad? Today we have a mix of leftovers and odd things I had in my fridge.

This is in one of those Rubbermaid food containers. I have a peanut butter and jelly puzzle shaped sandwiches, carrots, zucchini, a slice of kiwi, apple, a single dino chicken nugget, and what I think is sliced turkey.
