Pac Man lunch with Veggie Pizza snack

My 4inch Pac Man cookie cutters came! I ordered them off Ebay. We are so excited to have them! Karl loves Pac Man. We have a peach with a Pac Man silhouette, baby carrots, tomatoes, cheese stick, chocolate covered raisins and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  I used a dab of PB to hold the eyes on.

Laurence has been asking me to make him a veggie pizza for several weeks now. I guess they saw it on tv and he thought it looked good. I opted to send it for snack since I was not certain they would eat it. It consists of a bagel, cream cheese (I used veggie), broccoli, carrot, and tomato. They also had grapes to go with it.

Minions!

We have some new magnets for our lunches. Ok, we have more than a few. The boys' father is gifted in photography and web design. I asked him if he could put together some magnets for the boys to fit their interests or to match with cookie cutters I have. Today we are using those. I have Karl's lunch featured. Clark had World of Goo for his magnet and Laurence had Batman.

The snack containers all had this minion magnet set on them. I have a minion banana, carrots, and a cheese stick. The minion eyes were purchased off Amazon.

This was taken in our morning rush. The boys did not want to get ready today. This is Karl's lunch with Pac Man magnets. They all had minion sandwiches on a minion baking cup, a minion banana, carrots, tomatoes (Clark's request), a cheese stick that says "You are one in a Minion.", and chocolate covered raisins.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle lunch.

Snack today is some chocolate covered raisins, blueberries, and baby carrots. I added a dinosaur cupcake topper to this snack. In only Karl's snack I added the little face you see. Karl refuses to try blueberries. He loves them in pancakes, but he won't try just the fruit. So I added the little face. I imagine that was his face when he saw them. One day... One day he will try them.

We have a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle lunch today. I found the sandwich cutter on Amazon. Laurence loves TMNT. The ninja sword food pick was also found on Amazon. The sandwich is a peanut butter and jelly, carrots and peppers, grapes, a cheese stick, and some chocolate covered raisins under the cheese.

I place a flattened cupcake baking cup under the sandwiches to add some color. The boys seem to like it.

First day of school

Excuse my poor pictures. My camera is dead, I lost my phone, and I am using my Kindle for pictures. Not that I was ever the best at taking pictures, but I do try.

This year I have two 2nd graders and a 1st grader! So everyone gets a snack and a lunch.

For the first day of school I made a ninja lunch. I made sure to double check the ninja sword food pick with our principal first. The boys loved it. We have baby carrots, tomatoes (fresh from Aunt Agnes' garden), grapes, 2 ninja sandwiches, string cheese, and under the cheese we have chocolate covered raisins.

First day of school snack consisted of grapes, carrots, and some hummus to dip it in. I was not sure how well the humus would be received. I was told it was interesting but they weren't interested in it again. I added a shark cupcake topper for fun.

Robot lunch 1/7

Here is today's lunch. A peanut butter and jelly robot using the CuteZCute Robot Cutter and Stamp Set. I use a little dab of peanut butter to keep the eyes, mouth, and wrench in place.

For sides we hace strawberries, apple slices, popcorn, a Babybel cheese, and 2 vitamin gummy bears.

Fish and Minion and a molded rice lunch

I put a little more effort than and time into lunch today. I think it took me a whole 10 minutes for all 3 lunches. The Elder has leftovers. Easy lunch right there!

I put just a hair more effort into it this morning. I cut a banana down and tried to make it into a minion. Like it? I was to lazy to put him in overalls.

This is picture number 666 on my phone.
For lunch we have a pack of fruit snacks that I am trying to get out of the house, a pack of raisins with a minion sticker on it, 3 fish sandwiches (yes, I know it does not belong), and some yogurt in the disposable container.

This picture is sideways, but can you tell what I molded the rice and turkey casserole into? It is a train. I used a cookie cutter and packed the rice in. Then I let it chill over night and removed the cookie cutter from the lunch. It was set. The Elder said it held up pretty well.

First Day of School

I managed these 3 lunches in 15 minutes. I have to admit, it was helpful that The Elder's was partly leftovers.

Tyke requested Angry Birds. In my ELB I have Angry Birds sandwiches used making a cookie stamp found on Ebay. Separating the sandwiches are organic fruit strips. Also I added grapes, strawberry, carrots, some string cheese and a small PB cup for desert.

Clark wanted World of Goo... Ok then. I admit I am pretty lazy and had no intention of putting faces made out of nori on the grapes. Maybe I should invest in a food marker again. The background is made of sandwiches. The little Goo blobs are grapes cut in half, and I used organic fruit strips to make the little connections. Luckily he knew exactly what it was meant to be. Clark also has grapes, strawberry, carrots (he needs a crunch with every meal for sensory), string cheese, and a pb cup.

Poor Elder had a leftover potato from dinner and some corn (frozen). I had no clue on meat and had nothing left over. I had some hamburger thawed and little imagination. So I made a thin patty, put cheese on half and folded it over. I seasoned it, put it in a fry pan, added fresh mushrooms, and made my sandwiches for the boys while it cooked.  The Elder loved it. Yeah! It just doesn't look pretty.

First trial for the new school year

I decided that I needed to work out the morning routine for school days before school actually started. School starts one week from tomorrow, September 3rd. To hear more about our first trial run, go HERE.

Needless to day lunch did not go very well. I used my FunBites cutter to cut up the sandwich (ham and cheese). The apple rabbit did not turn out to well. The little odd colored things with the sandwich are some organic fruit strips and we have carrots and cucumbers for a vegetable. The yellow in back is a slice of cheese to add some color.

Meijer Gardens trip #1

If you would like to see our whole trip to Meijer Gardens, please click Here

My lunch. Homemade shrimp, garlic, and spinach onigiri, red peppers, melon, and pineapple.

The boys had 3 butterfly sandwiches, organic chocolate cereal, celery and red peppers with dip, a leftover meatball, cheese, kiwi, and pineapple.

The only difference in The Colonel's lunch is that the celery is cut very thin and the meatball is cut up.

I had 5 of these to pack. So I put them in the bottom of my backpack. I loved how the Easy Lunchboxes fit in the bottom.

All 5 loaded up with room for drinks still.

Pork and his lunch.

Clark asking his father for some oranges.

Pork eating again.

Me eating my onigiri and The Colonel having some celery.

Tyke and Oma at lunch.

Every time I make onigiri I think of this song. I was introduced to this anime by Karl.

Simple Sandwich

Today's peanut butter and jelly sandwich was made using half a hot dog bun. I added in 2 skewers with ham and a piece of bread and butter pickle. The bottom tier has a piece of salami, cucumber slices, small pear pieces, and string cheese

This one is the same as above. I just used a different container. The eyes on the sandwich are candy eyes. I found them in the cake decorating aisle at the grocery store. I use peanut butter to make them stick. The mouth is a cheerio.

The Colonel's lunch. She had the same thing as the boys, only most of it is cut up into smaller pieces. I do not bother cutting the sandwich because she has a full mouth of teeth and does rather well.

I decided to let everyone stay in pjs if they wanted to since people are still a little ill here. Pork decided he wanted to stay in his dinosaur pjs.

He is so cute. I am not sure what he was thinking, but the expression on his face made me smile.

Clark and Tyke eating their lunches. These two boxes have matching bottoms, but the tops are different. One is Thomas and the other is Cars. I wish I could find a Dinosaur bento for Pork.

I gave all the boys haircuts. It took 2 days to get Clark's cut. Poor kids cannot handle the sensation of his hair being cut. We decided to take longer to do it rather than upset him all at once and listen to him scream and meltdown for hours afterwards. Clark is still quite overstimulated from Christmas.

The Colonel is enjoying her lunch. She has decided that she prefers to stand in a chair over sitting in her highchair. I do have a booster seat, but she plays around with it and ends up falling out. I thought she would learn the first few times to sit still. Nope! So I just let her stand. It makes it much easier for me to enjoy my lunch if she stays in her chair.

Packing Their Own Lunch. - Picture Heavy

Tyke putting peanut butter on a homemade mini roll. Well, maybe not a roll per say, I used bread dough, flattened it, let it rise a little and baked it to make little bread rounds to use for sandwiches.

Oh look, he wants to make sure you knew he was using his Spiderman box (we found it at Walmart).  Tyke loves Spiderman.

I set out the veggie tray and pre cut fruit for Tyke to pick what he wanted. I lucked out and both were on sale this week. I love it! It was cheaper for me to buy these than it was to buy the same weight in non cut fruit and veggies. Unless I just bought carrots and spinach. The minions are not a fan of spinach though.

What a good boy! Tyke picked some cauliflower all by himself. I gave no direction other than to remind them to only take what they will eat.

Lunch!

You ever wonder why their hair looks this way sometimes? Clark is Autistic with Sensory Processing Disorder. Clark thrives on a loose routine. We have certain things we do on school days and we can add in other activities, but on school days we always take a bath. He will refuse to get on his coat if he does not have a bath. We have learned that he becomes very excited on the bus (he is on it for 45 minutes). To help him regulate that excitement, we needed to provide him with some sort of sensory input before he gets on the bus. We chose to use the bath tub because personal hygiene is a very good habit to get into. Especially for someone who needs any sort of routine . Also, Clark loves water. Water helps calm him on really bad days. Luckily we moved into a house with a very large tub.

Forty-five minutes before it is time to get on the bus, I put all the boys in the bath tub. They have a great time in there. Clark never wants to get out. Fortunately we are the very first stop the bus has, so our pick up time is very consistent. Ten minutes before the bus comes I get Clark and any remaining male minion out of the tub. Most of the time Tyke and Pork are already out and dressed, but sometimes not. I get everyone dry, dressed, and Clark out the door for the bus. While we wait for the bus I encourage him to run in circles, pull the wagon, or some other activity. On really bad days we do joint compressions until the bus comes. Those days I have to carry Clark onto the bus kicking and screaming, put him in his seat, and fasten him into the harness. By the end of the bus ride he is normally calm enough for one of his class aides to get him off the bus with little problems.

Anyway, back to Tyke's hair. Tyke had just gotten out of the bath about 10 minutes prior to this and his hair was still wet. He likes to comb it once it dries. That is why their hair sometimes looks a bit off.

Pork's turn!

Mmm... Peanut butter. I picked my Organic peanut butter today because it is much easier for Pork to spread. Biscoff and Sunbutter are a little to thick for him.

Pork Chop spreading peanut butter on his bread. He was so proud of himself.

THIS is why Pork always goes last with fruit picking. He picked out every last grape and blueberry. Never mind he most likely will not eat them all. I had to swipe some of them out of his box for Colonel Sanders.

Finally picking some other fruit.

Lunch! All the fruit and one or 2 carrots are hidden under the ham. They insisted they wanted some.

Don't worry, we did not forget Colonel Sanders!

Her bento is a snack box from All Things For Sale. The Colonel loved her lunch.

Now, here is a question for you... How many Sea Monkey habitats do I have?

Our friend came over...

Clark, Pork, and Colonel Sanders lunch

I have been kinda out of it recently. Lots going on and I am afraid I have been a little depressed. I still make lunches, but I do not always take pictures or blog. Thank you to all who still come here and look to see if I have posted.

T's Lunch

Today we have the same lunch, 3 different ways. We had a guest over and I know she loves Hello Kitty. She also does not like cheese. In addition to that, Tyke had decided that he no longer wants his lunch "cut". He wants his sandwich whole. Clark and Pork still want "lunch cut". So I tried to please most people.

Tyke's Lunch
We had organic peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, The cut outs were of a reindeer and made of either ham or salami (Nitrate free), cheese, and fruit on picks.

I just had to make this one large. Look at Colonel Sanders stuff her ham into her mouth! Doesn't she make a cute Pooh Bear? This poor outfit was bought used and it has now been worn by all 4 minions! The Colonel likes it so much that she would "yell" at us if we put the hood down. This is not a costume either.

Pork chop would not stop moving his head. I think he was overly excited over his reindeer.

Tyke, T, and Clark. Sorry, I do not feel right posting a child's face if they are not my own minion. T actually lifted the cat lid herself and asked me to take a picture. Notice Clark decided to copy her.

This was my lunch. Left over homemade chicken noodle soup... minus the broth because I did not want it to get mushy over night. It still tasted very yummy!
